It’s become second nature to replace old items with new ones, but with baths, the process of removal and replacement is far more complicated. Removing an old bath isn’t as simple as it may seem. Cast-iron baths are extremely heavy and must be broken apart for removal, which often results in damage to your bathroom. Acrylic baths are lighter and easier to move, but removing them can still damage your bathroom. After removal, redoing the tiling, reinstalling taps and drains, and potentially replacing the flooring are necessary. Opting to restore your bath helps you avoid contributing to the large amount of construction waste produced every day. Metal baths are usually original features of older houses, and they will last for decades!
