These days, it’s common to discard old items and buy new ones, but with baths, it’s not always that simple. Getting rid of an old bath is not as straightforward as many people think. Cast-iron baths weigh a ton and have to be smashed apart to be able to carry the pieces out of your house, and this obviously causes damage to the rest of your bathroom. Acrylic baths are lighter, making removal easier, but still cause damage to your bathroom when removed. You'll have to re-do the tiling around the bath, have the taps and waste re-fitted, and potentially get new flooring done.
