It’s become second nature to replace old items with new ones, but with baths, the process of removal and replacement is far more complicated. Getting rid of an old bath is not as straightforward as many people think. Cast-iron baths are so heavy that they have to be smashed to pieces before being carried out, which can lead to damage throughout your bathroom. Although acrylic baths are easier to remove, the process still causes damage to surrounding areas in your bathroom. Removing the bath means you’ll have to replace the tiling, reinstall taps and waste, and maybe even redo the flooring. By restoring your bath, you’re choosing an environmentally responsible option, reducing construction waste. A successful resurfacing process involves using an adhesive bonder to securely attach the new surface to the bath.
