In this day and age, it is so easy to buy something new and throw away the old one rather than trying to have it repaired or restored. Removing an old bath isn’t as simple as it may seem. Removing cast-iron baths involves breaking them down due to their weight, leading to potential damage to the rest of your bathroom. Acrylic baths are lighter and easier to move, but removing them can still damage your bathroom. Once removed, you’ll need to re-tile around the bath, refit taps and drains, and possibly replace flooring. I’m not aware of many companies still offering this in-situ, as the extreme heat needed makes it impossible.
