These days, it’s common to discard old items and buy new ones, but with baths, it’s not always that simple. Removing an old bath isn’t as simple as it may seem. Cast-iron baths weigh a ton and have to be smashed apart to be able to carry the pieces out of your house, and this obviously causes damage to the rest of your bathroom. While acrylic baths are much lighter and can be carried out more easily, it will still cause damage to the rest of your bathroom if you have it removed. You'll have to re-do the tiling around the bath, have the taps and waste re-fitted, and potentially get new flooring done. Restoring your bath is the most eco-friendly choice, preventing the additional waste generated from removing and replacing it. The materials I use to resurface your bath are professional grade that are only available on a commercial basis. You simply can't just use normal white paint to paint the surface. A key step of successful resurfacing is using an adhesive bonder to bond the new surface to your original bath.
