These days, it’s common to discard old items and buy new ones, but with baths, it’s not always that simple. With baths, it's actually not that easy to get rid of the old one. Removing cast-iron baths involves breaking them down due to their weight, leading to potential damage to the rest of your bathroom. Although acrylic baths are easier to remove, the process still causes damage to surrounding areas in your bathroom. You'll have to re-do the tiling around the bath, have the taps and waste re-fitted, and potentially get new flooring done. Traditional metal baths are common in older houses and can last for decades with proper maintenance.
