It’s become second nature to replace old items with new ones, but with baths, the process of removal and replacement is far more complicated. With baths, it's actually not that easy to get rid of the old one. Cast-iron baths are so heavy that they have to be smashed to pieces before being carried out, which can lead to damage throughout your bathroom. Acrylic baths are lighter and easier to move, but removing them can still damage your bathroom. Once removed, you’ll need to re-tile around the bath, refit taps and drains, and possibly replace flooring. Restoring your bath is the most eco-friendly choice, preventing the additional waste generated from removing and replacing it. Metal baths are usually original features of older houses, and they will last for decades! When their surface becomes dull and tired, chipped, scratched, etc, it is so easy to resurface them so they look brand new again and you'll have a perfect and strong bath in no time. With acrylic baths, their lifespan is not as long as traditional metal baths but they are still able to be resurfaced to a great result. When I repair individual chips and scratches on baths I have to colour match the repair to the surface of your bath, but with bath re-enamelling or bath resurfacing as I am respraying the whole surface I just use a new brilliant white enamel paint.

I only use top-grade materials, exclusively available for commercial use, to resurface your bath. Resurfacing a bath requires more than just white paint—it involves specific materials designed for the task. A successful resurfacing process involves using an adhesive bonder to securely attach the new surface to the bath. There’s no need to remove your bath or deal with complicated transport, as all of my resurfacing work is done in-situ. This way there is minimal disruption to you as I will only need to be working in your bathroom for a day before I'm out of your hair again. Vitreous enamel involves coating your bath in powdered glass and fusing it onto the surface using a kiln at high temperatures. This service could never be offered in-situ due to the extreme heat involved and I don't know of many companies that are able to offer this any more for baths.
