It’s become second nature to replace old items with new ones, but with baths, the process of removal and replacement is far more complicated. With baths, it's actually not that easy to get rid of the old one. Removing cast-iron baths involves breaking them down due to their weight, leading to potential damage to the rest of your bathroom. Acrylic baths are lighter, making removal easier, but still cause damage to your bathroom when removed. You'll have to re-do the tiling around the bath, have the taps and waste re-fitted, and potentially get new flooring done. By restoring your bath, you’re choosing an environmentally responsible option, reducing construction waste. Traditional metal baths are common in older houses and can last for decades with proper maintenance.
