These days, it’s common to discard old items and buy new ones, but with baths, it’s not always that simple. Removing an old bath isn’t as simple as it may seem. Cast-iron baths are extremely heavy and must be broken apart for removal, which often results in damage to your bathroom. Even with lighter acrylic baths, removal can lead to damage to the rest of your bathroom. After removal, redoing the tiling, reinstalling taps and drains, and potentially replacing the flooring are necessary. When you choose to restore your bath you are choosing the most environmentally friendly option as you won't be contributing to the vast amount of construction waste that gets produced on a daily basis. Many older homes feature metal baths that can last a lifetime with the right care. I only use top-grade materials, exclusively available for commercial use, to resurface your bath. It’s impossible to use ordinary white paint for resurfacing your bath; it requires specialized materials. The use of an adhesive bonder is critical in resurfacing to create a solid bond between the new layer and the original bath.
