These days, it’s common to discard old items and buy new ones, but with baths, it’s not always that simple. It’s not easy to dispose of an old bath, especially depending on its material. With cast-iron baths, the removal process requires breaking them apart due to their weight, causing damage to your bathroom’s structure. Acrylic baths are lighter, making removal easier, but still cause damage to your bathroom when removed. Removing your bath means redoing the tiling, refitting taps, and possibly replacing flooring, making it a costly and disruptive process. Restoring your bath is the most eco-friendly choice, preventing the additional waste generated from removing and replacing it. Metal baths are a lasting feature of older homes, providing durability for decades. When their surface becomes dull and tired, chipped, scratched, etc, it is so easy to resurface them so they look brand new again and you'll have a perfect and strong bath in no time. Though acrylic baths have a shorter lifespan than metal baths, resurfacing restores them to a like-new condition. When fixing chips and scratches, I match the color to your bath’s surface, but for re-enamelling or resurfacing, I use a new white enamel finish.

The materials I use to resurface your bath are professional grade that are only available on a commercial basis. You simply can't just use normal white paint to paint the surface. A key step of successful resurfacing is using an adhesive bonder to bond the new surface to your original bath. I have sourced a very specialised bonder which creates the most lasting results possible. All of my resurfacing work is done in-situ, so you will never have to remove your bath and transport it to me, then have it delivered back and installed again. By working in-situ, I minimize disruption to you—only needing one day of work in your bathroom before I’m done. You may be familiar with Vitreous enamel, a specialized process where powdered glass is fused to the bath’s surface in a high-temperature kiln. Due to the high temperatures involved, vitreous enamel can’t be performed in-situ, and it’s becoming increasingly rare among companies.
