It’s become second nature to replace old items with new ones, but with baths, the process of removal and replacement is far more complicated. It’s not easy to dispose of an old bath, especially depending on its material. With cast-iron baths, the removal process requires breaking them apart due to their weight, causing damage to your bathroom’s structure. While acrylic baths are much lighter and can be carried out more easily, it will still cause damage to the rest of your bathroom if you have it removed. You'll have to re-do the tiling around the bath, have the taps and waste re-fitted, and potentially get new flooring done. Restoring your bath is the most eco-friendly choice, preventing the additional waste generated from removing and replacing it.
