It’s become second nature to replace old items with new ones, but with baths, the process of removal and replacement is far more complicated. Getting rid of an old bath is not as straightforward as many people think. With cast-iron baths, the removal process requires breaking them apart due to their weight, causing damage to your bathroom’s structure. Although acrylic baths are easier to remove, the process still causes damage to surrounding areas in your bathroom. After removal, redoing the tiling, reinstalling taps and drains, and potentially replacing the flooring are necessary. I’m not aware of many companies still offering this in-situ, as the extreme heat needed makes it impossible.
