In this day and age, it is so easy to buy something new and throw away the old one rather than trying to have it repaired or restored. When it comes to baths, getting rid of the old one isn’t a quick or easy task. Removing cast-iron baths involves breaking them down due to their weight, leading to potential damage to the rest of your bathroom. While acrylic baths are much lighter and can be carried out more easily, it will still cause damage to the rest of your bathroom if you have it removed. After removal, redoing the tiling, reinstalling taps and drains, and potentially replacing the flooring are necessary. When you choose to restore your bath you are choosing the most environmentally friendly option as you won't be contributing to the vast amount of construction waste that gets produced on a daily basis. A successful resurfacing process involves using an adhesive bonder to securely attach the new surface to the bath. The specialized bonder I use provides the strongest and most lasting bond for bath resurfacing. By working in-situ, I minimize disruption to you—only needing one day of work in your bathroom before I’m done. Vitreous enamel involves coating your bath in powdered glass and fusing it onto the surface using a kiln at high temperatures. I’m not aware of many companies still offering this in-situ, as the extreme heat needed makes it impossible.
