It’s become second nature to replace old items with new ones, but with baths, the process of removal and replacement is far more complicated. When it comes to baths, getting rid of the old one isn’t a quick or easy task. Cast-iron baths are extremely heavy and must be broken apart for removal, which often results in damage to your bathroom. While acrylic baths are much lighter and can be carried out more easily, it will still cause damage to the rest of your bathroom if you have it removed. Removing your bath means redoing the tiling, refitting taps, and possibly replacing flooring, making it a costly and disruptive process. The materials I use to resurface your bath are professional grade that are only available on a commercial basis. You can’t simply apply regular white paint to resurface your bath. The use of an adhesive bonder is critical in resurfacing to create a solid bond between the new layer and the original bath.
