It’s become second nature to replace old items with new ones, but with baths, the process of removal and replacement is far more complicated. Removing an old bath isn’t as simple as it may seem. Cast-iron baths are so heavy that they have to be smashed to pieces before being carried out, which can lead to damage throughout your bathroom. Even with lighter acrylic baths, removal can lead to damage to the rest of your bathroom. Once removed, you’ll need to re-tile around the bath, refit taps and drains, and possibly replace flooring. By restoring your bath, you’re choosing an environmentally responsible option, reducing construction waste. Traditional metal baths are common in older houses and can last for decades with proper maintenance. I only use top-grade materials, exclusively available for commercial use, to resurface your bath. You simply can't just use normal white paint to paint the surface. A successful resurfacing process involves using an adhesive bonder to securely attach the new surface to the bath. I use a highly specialized bonder that ensures the most durable and lasting results for your bath. This service could never be offered in-situ due to the extreme heat involved and I don't know of many companies that are able to offer this any more for baths.
