In this day and age, it is so easy to buy something new and throw away the old one rather than trying to have it repaired or restored. It’s not easy to dispose of an old bath, especially depending on its material. Cast-iron baths are extremely heavy and must be broken apart for removal, which often results in damage to your bathroom. Acrylic baths are lighter, making removal easier, but still cause damage to your bathroom when removed. Once removed, you’ll need to re-tile around the bath, refit taps and drains, and possibly replace flooring. I only use top-grade materials, exclusively available for commercial use, to resurface your bath. You simply can't just use normal white paint to paint the surface. A key step of successful resurfacing is using an adhesive bonder to bond the new surface to your original bath. Vitreous enamel is a unique process where powdered glass is fused to the surface of the bath at extremely high temperatures in a kiln. Due to the extreme heat required, this service can’t be done in-situ, and few companies offer it these days.
