These days, it’s common to discard old items and buy new ones, but with baths, it’s not always that simple. When it comes to baths, getting rid of the old one isn’t a quick or easy task. Cast-iron baths are so heavy that they have to be smashed to pieces before being carried out, which can lead to damage throughout your bathroom. Although acrylic baths are easier to remove, the process still causes damage to surrounding areas in your bathroom. Removing your bath means redoing the tiling, refitting taps, and possibly replacing flooring, making it a costly and disruptive process. When you choose to restore your bath you are choosing the most environmentally friendly option as you won't be contributing to the vast amount of construction waste that gets produced on a daily basis. Many older homes feature metal baths that can last a lifetime with the right care. When the surface of metal baths gets worn, chipped, or scratched, resurfacing makes them look brand new again, restoring strength and beauty. I use commercial-grade materials to resurface your bath, which are not available to the general public. You can’t simply apply regular white paint to resurface your bath. A successful resurfacing process involves using an adhesive bonder to securely attach the new surface to the bath.
