With cast-iron baths, the removal process requires breaking them apart due to their weight, causing damage to your bathroom’s structure. Although acrylic baths are easier to remove, the process still causes damage to surrounding areas in your bathroom. To ensure proper resurfacing, I use an adhesive bonder that bonds the new surface firmly to the original bath. Vitreous enamel involves coating your bath in powdered glass and fusing it onto the surface using a kiln at high temperatures. Due to the high temperatures involved, vitreous enamel can’t be performed in-situ, and it’s becoming increasingly rare among companies.
