These days, it’s common to discard old items and buy new ones, but with baths, it’s not always that simple. Removing an old bath isn’t as simple as it may seem. Cast-iron baths are extremely heavy and must be broken apart for removal, which often results in damage to your bathroom. Acrylic baths are lighter, making removal easier, but still cause damage to your bathroom when removed. You'll have to re-do the tiling around the bath, have the taps and waste re-fitted, and potentially get new flooring done.
