In today’s world, replacing items with new ones is easy, but when it comes to baths, it’s not as straightforward. With baths, it's actually not that easy to get rid of the old one. Cast-iron baths are so heavy that they have to be smashed to pieces before being carried out, which can lead to damage throughout your bathroom. While acrylic baths are much lighter and can be carried out more easily, it will still cause damage to the rest of your bathroom if you have it removed. After removal, redoing the tiling, reinstalling taps and drains, and potentially replacing the flooring are necessary. When you choose to restore your bath you are choosing the most environmentally friendly option as you won't be contributing to the vast amount of construction waste that gets produced on a daily basis. Traditional metal baths are common in older houses and can last for decades with proper maintenance. When their surface becomes dull and tired, chipped, scratched, etc, it is so easy to resurface them so they look brand new again and you'll have a perfect and strong bath in no time. With acrylic baths, their lifespan is not as long as traditional metal baths but they are still able to be resurfaced to a great result. For individual repairs like chips and scratches, I color match the repair to your bath, but with re-enamelling or resurfacing, I use a fresh white enamel to respray the entire surface.

I only use top-grade materials, exclusively available for commercial use, to resurface your bath. You simply can't just use normal white paint to paint the surface. A successful resurfacing process involves using an adhesive bonder to securely attach the new surface to the bath. The specialized bonder I use provides the strongest and most lasting bond for bath resurfacing. I complete all resurfacing work in-situ, so there’s no need to remove and transport your bath for repair. You may have heard of Vitreous enamel - this is a specialised procedure where the bath is coated in a powdered glass material and then this is fused onto the surface of your bath in a large kiln at very high temperatures. Due to the high temperatures involved, vitreous enamel can’t be performed in-situ, and it’s becoming increasingly rare among companies.
