In today’s consumer culture, we often choose to replace over repair, but when it comes to baths, it’s not so easy. It’s not easy to dispose of an old bath, especially depending on its material. Removing cast-iron baths involves breaking them down due to their weight, leading to potential damage to the rest of your bathroom. While acrylic baths are much lighter and can be carried out more easily, it will still cause damage to the rest of your bathroom if you have it removed. Once removed, you’ll need to re-tile around the bath, refit taps and drains, and possibly replace flooring. When you choose to restore your bath you are choosing the most environmentally friendly option as you won't be contributing to the vast amount of construction waste that gets produced on a daily basis. Metal baths are usually original features of older houses, and they will last for decades! A quick resurfacing restores dull, chipped, or scratched metal baths to look brand new, providing a durable finish. For individual repairs like chips and scratches, I color match the repair to your bath, but with re-enamelling or resurfacing, I use a fresh white enamel to respray the entire surface.

I only use top-grade materials, exclusively available for commercial use, to resurface your bath. You can’t simply apply regular white paint to resurface your bath. One of the crucial steps for effective resurfacing is applying an adhesive bonder to attach the new surface to your original bath. Vitreous enamel resurfacing requires extreme heat, which means it can’t be done in-situ and is rarely offered by companies now.
