In this day and age, it is so easy to buy something new and throw away the old one rather than trying to have it repaired or restored. With baths, it's actually not that easy to get rid of the old one. Cast-iron baths are so heavy that they have to be smashed to pieces before being carried out, which can lead to damage throughout your bathroom. Even with lighter acrylic baths, removal can lead to damage to the rest of your bathroom. Once removed, you’ll need to re-tile around the bath, refit taps and drains, and possibly replace flooring. Restoring your bath instead of replacing it helps cut down on daily construction waste, making it a more sustainable option. Traditional metal baths are common in older houses and can last for decades with proper maintenance. When a metal bath shows signs of wear, resurfacing is a quick and effective way to restore it to its original condition. Though acrylic baths have a shorter lifespan than metal baths, resurfacing restores them to a like-new condition. Repairing chips and scratches requires color matching, but with full bath resurfacing or re-enamelling, I apply a new white enamel for a flawless finish.

I only use top-grade materials, exclusively available for commercial use, to resurface your bath. You can’t simply apply regular white paint to resurface your bath. To ensure proper resurfacing, I use an adhesive bonder that bonds the new surface firmly to the original bath. I have sourced a very specialised bonder which creates the most lasting results possible. You may have heard of Vitreous enamel - this is a specialised procedure where the bath is coated in a powdered glass material and then this is fused onto the surface of your bath in a large kiln at very high temperatures. I’m not aware of many companies still offering this in-situ, as the extreme heat needed makes it impossible.
