In today’s consumer culture, we often choose to replace over repair, but when it comes to baths, it’s not so easy. With baths, it's actually not that easy to get rid of the old one. Cast-iron baths weigh a ton and have to be smashed apart to be able to carry the pieces out of your house, and this obviously causes damage to the rest of your bathroom. Acrylic baths are lighter, making removal easier, but still cause damage to your bathroom when removed. Removing your bath means redoing the tiling, refitting taps, and possibly replacing flooring, making it a costly and disruptive process. Opting to restore your bath helps you avoid contributing to the large amount of construction waste produced every day. Traditional metal baths are common in older houses and can last for decades with proper maintenance. When their surface becomes dull and tired, chipped, scratched, etc, it is so easy to resurface them so they look brand new again and you'll have a perfect and strong bath in no time. With acrylic baths, their lifespan is not as long as traditional metal baths but they are still able to be resurfaced to a great result. When I repair individual chips and scratches on baths I have to colour match the repair to the surface of your bath, but with bath re-enamelling or bath resurfacing as I am respraying the whole surface I just use a new brilliant white enamel paint.

I use commercial-grade materials to resurface your bath, which are not available to the general public. You can’t simply apply regular white paint to resurface your bath. To ensure proper resurfacing, I use an adhesive bonder that bonds the new surface firmly to the original bath. I use a highly specialized bonder that ensures the most durable and lasting results for your bath. All resurfacing is done directly in your bathroom, so you won’t have to remove your bath and deal with the hassle of transport and reinstallation. Vitreous enamel involves coating your bath in powdered glass and fusing it onto the surface using a kiln at high temperatures. Due to the high temperatures involved, vitreous enamel can’t be performed in-situ, and it’s becoming increasingly rare among companies.
