In today’s world, replacing items with new ones is easy, but when it comes to baths, it’s not as straightforward. Removing an old bath isn’t as simple as it may seem. Cast-iron baths are extremely heavy and must be broken apart for removal, which often results in damage to your bathroom. While acrylic baths are much lighter and can be carried out more easily, it will still cause damage to the rest of your bathroom if you have it removed. Once removed, you’ll need to re-tile around the bath, refit taps and drains, and possibly replace flooring. Restoring your bath is the most eco-friendly choice, preventing the additional waste generated from removing and replacing it. Metal baths are usually original features of older houses, and they will last for decades! It’s impossible to use ordinary white paint for resurfacing your bath; it requires specialized materials. One of the crucial steps for effective resurfacing is applying an adhesive bonder to attach the new surface to your original bath.
