In this day and age, it is so easy to buy something new and throw away the old one rather than trying to have it repaired or restored. When it comes to baths, getting rid of the old one isn’t a quick or easy task. Cast-iron baths are extremely heavy and must be broken apart for removal, which often results in damage to your bathroom. While acrylic baths are much lighter and can be carried out more easily, it will still cause damage to the rest of your bathroom if you have it removed. You'll have to re-do the tiling around the bath, have the taps and waste re-fitted, and potentially get new flooring done. By restoring your bath, you’re choosing an environmentally responsible option, reducing construction waste. Metal baths are usually original features of older houses, and they will last for decades! When fixing chips and scratches, I match the color to your bath’s surface, but for re-enamelling or resurfacing, I use a new white enamel finish.

I use commercial-grade materials to resurface your bath, which are not available to the general public. It’s impossible to use ordinary white paint for resurfacing your bath; it requires specialized materials. One of the crucial steps for effective resurfacing is applying an adhesive bonder to attach the new surface to your original bath. I have sourced a very specialised bonder which creates the most lasting results possible. I’m not aware of many companies still offering this in-situ, as the extreme heat needed makes it impossible.
