These days, it’s common to discard old items and buy new ones, but with baths, it’s not always that simple. With baths, it's actually not that easy to get rid of the old one. Cast-iron baths weigh a ton and have to be smashed apart to be able to carry the pieces out of your house, and this obviously causes damage to the rest of your bathroom. Even with lighter acrylic baths, removal can lead to damage to the rest of your bathroom. Removing the bath means you’ll have to replace the tiling, reinstall taps and waste, and maybe even redo the flooring. By restoring your bath, you’re choosing an environmentally responsible option, reducing construction waste. Metal baths are usually original features of older houses, and they will last for decades! When their surface becomes dull and tired, chipped, scratched, etc, it is so easy to resurface them so they look brand new again and you'll have a perfect and strong bath in no time. With acrylic baths, their lifespan is not as long as traditional metal baths but they are still able to be resurfaced to a great result. Repairing chips and scratches requires color matching, but with full bath resurfacing or re-enamelling, I apply a new white enamel for a flawless finish.

The materials I use for bath resurfacing are professional-grade, specifically sourced for commercial applications. You simply can't just use normal white paint to paint the surface. A key step of successful resurfacing is using an adhesive bonder to bond the new surface to your original bath. I have sourced a very specialised bonder which creates the most lasting results possible. All resurfacing is done directly in your bathroom, so you won’t have to remove your bath and deal with the hassle of transport and reinstallation. This way there is minimal disruption to you as I will only need to be working in your bathroom for a day before I'm out of your hair again. You may have heard of Vitreous enamel - this is a specialised procedure where the bath is coated in a powdered glass material and then this is fused onto the surface of your bath in a large kiln at very high temperatures. I’m not aware of many companies still offering this in-situ, as the extreme heat needed makes it impossible.
